The Figs of Love Creek

The variety of fig that we grow and sell is Alma, which is a medium sized fig developed by Texas A&M.  We chose this one because it has the best flavor of any fig we have ever tasted.  Figs are tropical plants and are always subject to freeze damage.  Alma has proved to be more tolerant than other varieties to freeze damage in our orchards, and we have taken out other kinds of figs that just would not stack up with Alma for taste or hardiness.
